Happy birthday Cavendish Ave.

Happy birthday Cavendish Ave.

There’s a brick terrace home behind a tall wall in the leafy north London area of St John’s Wood upon which a cat teeters along, jumping off only to inspect a sign that reads: CAVENDISH AVENUE NW8 CITY OF WESTMINSTER. A line of well-dressed people bumble along the usually quiet street, buzzing with anticipation at the cricket to be played at Lord’s just down the road. But once the game settles in to its hours’ long play, the cat pops its head out of its shady hiding spot and springs up once again behind that famed wall and into the garden of Sir Paul McCartney.

From this leafy little street on the other side of the world comes a world of inspiration bottled up in Cavendish Ave. Nostalgia is intertwined in our purpose as Curators of Cosy, and we pride ourselves on blending the scents that tell your stories best. As Cavendish Ave. ticks over into its third birthday, though, we’re sinking comfortably (though rather ambitiously) further into the world of cosy…and we’d love for you to join us.

The dreamy world of Cavendish Ave. heralds green tones that wash the world in calming sweeps, delicate details, and pockets of femininity. The mind wanders through daydreams abed nostalgia and sweet melancholy. Our Cosy Catalogue will be thoughtfully curated with brands that share our values and products that glorify the small moments of magic in life.

Cavendish Ave. is curating your cosy through a reimagined model. Heritage aesthetics and a respect for pieces and designs that hold meaning and tell stories are given focus. Our own candles form the cornerstone of our Cosy Catalogue because, after all, the best memories are made all the more poignant through scent. Over the next few months, we’ll be working with beautiful brands (mostly incredible Australian small businesses) and personalities to curate this Cosy Catalogue and develop a world of cosy in which to retreat to when the hustle of day-to-day life gets to be too much.

We’re building a dreamscape and putting our focus on the thoughtfulness that comes with purchasing meaningful pieces for yourself or your home. We’re striving towards being the thought leaders in cosy by immersing ourselves (yes, you included) in conversations and stories that herald slow living, curating cosy, and giving heritage values context in a modern world.

It's comforting to know that while our daydreams may take us back to days spent traipsing around Cavendish Avenue, we can take parts of that wistfulness and move through life thoughtfully, with an intentional nostalgia that pulls on the beauty of it all rather than the melancholy. Happy birthday, Cavendish Ave.
